Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery Management this role is accountable for the effective delivery of the Service Architecture for all existing and future live services.
This role is responsible for a number of services and liaises directly with the Service Management Integrator for the services, along with the ICT Ops personnel responsible for providing the services.
As the Service Architect your role will be pivotal in developing business relationship with the customer and the appropriate stakeholders to help identify growth opportunities and well being of services. This element will ensure services are delivered in line with standard service catalogue and best practice processes to achieve cost effective service excellence.
There will be matrix management and leadership responsibility in order to successfully champion the voice and interests of the Customer.
Essential skills/experience required:
Service Architect and Design experience
The production of Low and High Level Service Designs
Service Cost Modelling
Service Catalogue creation
Technical Architect experience
A thorough and demonstrable understanding of IT Processes (ITIL)
Service Management Experience
Strong evidence based ability to deliver results
A high level of practical problem solving skills to overcome barriers and resistance to change.
Understanding of corporate drivers such as the strategy, values and core behaviours.
Financial and Budget Management
Knowledge of operating IT systems within Government environments
Sales and/or account management experience
Project Management skills and experience
Business Service Management: Service ownership, service roles and continuous service improvement approach
Service Modelling: Service flow with service provider(s) and service consumer, service pain points, service weakness clusters/bottlenecks, service value clusters, service rules, service compliance, business service measurements and service modelling.
Service Measures: Creation and maintenance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), business service measurements and system service measurements.
Service Cost Modelling: Calculate the full costs of products and services.
Production of Service definitions, Low and High Level Service Designs
Service Catalogue creation/maintenance
Plan and deliver strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the SMI, ICT Operations teams, Project Manager, Product Owners, Finance and Technical Architects.
Participates in monthly services reviews where appropriate
Maintain and action Continual Service Improvement Plan
Undertake architecture research and design activities
Define and maintain the Service Architecture Road Map aligned to best practice
Adopt a Service Oriented approach
Work in collaboration with the CTO Office, aligning service offerings with the Technology road map
