Role Overview:
You will be a hands on member of the Client's reporting team responsible for the design, configuration, build and implementation of the Microsoft Analysis Services and presentational aspects (including Power BI) of their reporting service to agreed service levels.
The service provides a self-service business intelligence and reporting solutions to the Client.
Power BI is essential for this role.
Role will involve rolling out to the broader audience as you will be working with the user base and helping to re-create best practice for the business. Also their will be some bespoke work to suit the business needs.
The successful candidate will not only be hands on in the design/development areas but working with the business to present all aspects of the reporting service.
You will also do a knowledge transfer piece with the team internally

Essential skills/experience required:
Substantial experience with Microsoft Analysis Services Multidimensional and Tabular architecture, design, build, test and deployment of self service BI and reporting solutions for a medium to large business.
Hands on experience and a thorough understanding of business intelligence, dimensional design, database and reporting principles, standards and technologies especially Microsoft SSRS and SSAS preferably in an Office 365 environment.
Proven experience of end user presentational design adhering to industry standard processes and practices using tools such as Power BI (on premise and Cloud), Excel and SSRS with on-premise databases.
Knowledge of security issues on common platforms and of legal requirements such as DPA, FOI, RIPA and ideally GDPR.

Please note the rate is possibly negotiable based on skills and experience required.

Duties include:
Anticipate problems and help to develop and enhance existing standardised processes and solutions
Mentor, train and coach other members of the team, particularly in areas associated with the design, and build of analysis services solutions.
Ensure that appropriate security measures are implemented and that system design takes note of IPR, Copyright and DPA issues.
Provide input into the Clients reporting strategy.
To ensure that projects and activities are delivered on time and in budget
Be able to convert business requirements into viable technical solutions
