Role: To work on a high profile cross-Government programme which sits within the Government Major Projects portfolio.
There have been some commercial capability reviews across central Government departments so this is the programme you will be working on which will bring together a range of activities that aims to address the issues identified and thus improve commercial capability by strengthening the Government commercial function.
Essential skills/experience required:
A recognised PPM qualification (MSP and Prince 2)
Experience of managing programmes and projects within a public sector environment
Programme and project management (scoping, planning and execution)
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Confident working with and managing data
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desirable would be any experience of change and transition management
To support the PMO Lead and play an active role in helping to drive, monitor and manage programme delivery - ensuring key milestones are met.
Develop and assure programme/project delivery plans and key deliverables.
Identify and aspects which are likely to require escalation
Review programme documents and provide quality assurance prior to submission to senior stakeholders
Monitor and escalate risks/issues as required
Provide programme reporting capability to the various senior programme stakeholders
Help ensure effective budget and resource management where required
Provide modelling capability in support of the above where required.
