We are looking to recruit an experienced PMO Manager. This is a challenging role in a blue chip organisation where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference. The successful applicant needs to be someone who is passionate about the value an effective PMO organisation can deliver and has experience in a large high volume organisation.
In this role you be responsible for ensuring that project governance standards are maintained to ensure the accurate reporting and timely delivery of projects. This is not a glorified reporting function it is expected that you will work proactively with the project management leads to identify trends, patterns of behaviour and process issues that can be improved to improve project delivery. You will be responsible for providing accurate delivery assessments that will form a critical element of the project capacity planning. This means that in addition to a detailed understanding of how effective governance can enable project delivery you will have the personal skills to build effective working relationships both to facilitate an improved project delivery capacity and the ability to of the organisation to plan effectively knowing the organisational picture they have is accurate and meaningful.
As part of delivering this capability you will also manage and mentor a small team of PMO analysts. It is expected that you will have a Prince 2 Practitioner certificate and ideally an ITIL qualification. However the real key is the ability to deliver real organisational value by working closely with the IT delivery function to create a project delivery culture of continuous improvement and genuinely joined up working.
