Job Description

We are currently seeking a DV Cleared IT Support First Line contractors to join our established Information Communications Technology(ICT) Team. The role is temporary but provide a great opportunity to work in a busy technical section providing high quality, fast IT and telecoms services to a section in a Central Government Department. The team are dynamic and work flexibly at a fast pace, team members work very closely together and pool resources and skill to achieve their goals in their daily work. The specific responsibilities of this post will be to support a high impact project where you providing high quality/customer focused first line support or you will be helping with a part of the project work such as testing, building, or installation of devices.

This will be an initial 3 month contract based in London with a maximum rate of £250 per day.

DV clearance is highly desirable!

Essential Experience:

Excellent communication skill, ability to translate in-depth technical information into language easily understandable by business areas
Excellent proven support and customer service skills
Previous experience of working for UK Government
Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and user level instructions.
Knowledge of mandatory requirements for handling protectively marked material
A high level of attention to detail and care in handling data, technology and information along with discretion is required for these roles
Active Directory setup, installation, administration and maintenance of users
Setup, configuration and administration of Email user information and accounts
Building and configuration of HP desktops
Understanding of the security implications of working within the confines of a Government network
A working knowledge of networking, patching, desktop and telephony management.
Good technical understanding of installing and configuring printing in a thin client environment
