Role: To provide guidance and interpretation of security policy to support the development of Cloud Services for the Client.
You will ensure that Cloud services being developed meet assurance requirements, comply to HMG and commercial best practice and also to take responsibility for specifying security risks that will be solved through implementation or upgrade of security policies and devices.
You will also be required to liaise with and provide advice and assurance to a wide range of internal and external contacts including customers, analysts, developers, project managers, testers and support staff. Also to provide business driven advice on the management and adoption of cloud services consistent with standards and guidance.
Essential skills/experience required:
This role will have considerable input in developing and refining the security policies and architecture for the Client's programmes developing managed cloud services. It is therefore essential that you possess a wide range of cloud security knowledge in order provide the consultancy and governance required.
This must include:
To provide a focal point for resolution of security and information risk.
To identify, analyse and evaluate information risks.
To explain to risk owners and other stakeholders the causes, likelihood and potential business impacts of information risks throughout the information system life cycle
To assist checking compliance with applicable regulations, standards, policies and guidance on information risk management.
To support the development of Risk Management and assurance documentation.
To promote security awareness
Recommends implements of new IA controls across the programme or enterprise to provide more cost effective risk mitigation in the long term
Contributes to the development of cloud strategies, policies, guidance and awareness
Shall be aware of a wide range of vulnerabilities/exploits and knows where to find the latest information on vulnerabilities or exploits and design tests to identify them.
This position may require involvement in pan-government and international working groups and also with external suppliers.
Expert knowledge of Office365 suite including SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange
Strong and broad Security Architect skills
Scripting skills, ideally PowerShell
Have worked on Government Office 365 implementations
Certified Cloud Security Professional
Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge
