Job Description

We require 2 Business Analysts for an initial 3 month contract role based on a Government Client site in in Fareham Hampshire to start asap...

To work on a specific transformation programme in the Client's Business Architecture area.
You will gather a detailed understanding of the business processes and underlying requirements necessary to satisfy the design, test and delivery of service(s) for this specific project data and any prior small scale testing.
You will work closely with a number of teams across projects within the Transformation Programme and liaise with a range of service providers, both internal and external during evaluation & selection activities, design, development and operation of the services.
You will relay a detailed understanding of these services to the Target Operating Model and work with the Business Architect to refine and consolidate the overall design

Essential skills/experience required:
A recognised qualification in Business Analysis or have undergone formal business analysis training and be familiar with requirements engineering approaches and business process modelling techniques.
A proven track record in business analysis techniques, particularly business process modelling and requirements capture.
Also to have experience of the full development life cycle from analysis through to operations would be advantageous.

Daily duties include:
Work with project teams to identify, document and finalise (when appropriate) business needs.
Lead and manage investigations into business processes, functions, information flows, data structures and software development processes, using various methodical and consistent techniques;
Lead, understand and communicate the big picture while working to assure the overall goal is maintained in creation of the product backlog, in addition to working at a detailed level during sprints and iterations;
Define scope whilst shaping and challenging business priorities and value through collaboration;
Responsible for the creation of requirements documentation to required standards. Using appropriate modelling techniques, considering requirement management and traceability ensuring traceability back to source, adherence to business objectives and their fitness for purpose;
Deliver at pace using agile methodologies and principles
Assist decision makers in gathering information to make informed decisions.
Ensure solution will meet requirements by;
Working closely with the project team, test analysts and developers to assist with identification and creation of test scripts;
Monitoring test results, investigating causes of failure and potential resolutions
Identify and assess the impacts of changes required to baselined documents
Ensure designs and requirements are kept up to date, following programme configuration management procedures;
Assist project manager in prioritising and scheduling the development of requirements
Report progress in line with project reporting techniques & cycle
Contribute to lessons learned processes.
