3rd Line Engineer - IT Managed Services
£35000 - £50000 per annum
3rd Line Engineer
Skills: VMware, Windows Server, Office 365, Exchange Server, NetApp
We have a great opportunity for a 3rd Line Engineer to join a leading IT services company based in Leicester. You will be responsible taking a lead on infrastructure projects and also working as a technical escalation point on support queries.
Expertise in delivering / implementing Microsoft or VMware technologies (or both) is essential for the role. Qualifications such as the MCSE / MCITP or VCP are also highly desirable.
Working as a Senior Engineer in a talented team you will provide escalated support to customers based primarily in the East Midlands. You will also work as a technical lead on projects which will include upgrading existing customers (eg migrating customers to Office 365), and also implementing new infrastructure solutions.
Customers primarily run Windows / VMware solutions so experience of working on server centric projects is essential. There will also be an opportunity to influence my client's cloud strategy and the technical direction they take.
Although some travel is expected with the role it is anticipated that 80% of your time will be spent in the office working remotely. Any customer travel that is required is localised to the Leicestershire / East Midlands region.
In return my client can offer an interesting technical leadership role, with a great work / life balance, funded training, and the opportunity to work with the latest VMware, NetApp, Cloud and Microsoft technologies.
